![]() Cosby pulls you in by the scruff of your neck and the rest is seat-of-your pants with every subsequent page. The second half of the novel, however, is as fast paced as I’ve ever read. You get to know Beauregard, his family while learning about his current difficulties and some of his past. While the opening chapter draws you into the action immediately, most of the first half of the novel is a slow burn in terms of pacing. This is a crime thriller centered around robberies and heists. ![]() With few opportunities available, Beauregard makes a desperate decision that could change everything for the better. After years of being legitimate and raising a family, a mountain of financial problems has him contemplating one last job to make ends meet. Beauregard’s legendary driving skill and overall competence would make him a prime asset in any criminal enterprise.
